Black & White Publishing, a division of Bonnier Books UK, is to publish Inside F1 by broadcast journalist Lee McKenzie.

World rights in all languages were acquired directly from the author by Campbell Brown, managing director at Black & White Publishing.

As one of the most respected journalists in F1 racing, Lee McKenzie has conducted some brilliant and memorable interviews with the biggest stars in motorsport. Now Lee brings her personal behind-the-scenes stories to the page.

Over the years, Lee has shared hire cars in GP2 with Lewis Hamilton when they both hoped to make it to F1. She took a horse from England to Michael Schumacher’s ranch in Switzerland to compete against him in a western riding competition and she went to film with the current world champion Max Verstappen when he was too young to legally drive on the roads.

This unique perspective into Formula 1 will delight fans, sharing insight into Lee’s remarkable moments throughout her career with the driving legends and experiencing life in the fast lane.

Lee McKenzie is a highly respected broadcast journalist and presenter, best known for her work in Formula 1. She also presents international rugby for both Channel 4 and the BBC, as well as Wimbledon, the Olympics, and the Paralympics.

Campbell Brown said: “Lee is so respected in the F1 sport due to her relaxed yet honest approach, and we are delighted to be working with her to share insight into her fast-paced career. Fans of the sport will love her stories with the global driving stars and her views on witnessing some of the biggest moments in the history of F1.”

Lee said: “I’m really excited to share with my readers some of the stories away from what they see day-to-day in Formula One. I’ve been fortunate enough to be part of some great, surreal and shocking moments involving some of the biggest names over the years. I also think the stories of their entire careers and how they started is often forgotten if not unknown! We are lucky enough to have great personalities in the sport and in this book, I will try to give more depth to their careers and tell some funny stories along the way!”

Inside F1 will be published in October 2022.
