Bonnier Zaffre, a division of Bonnier Publishing, has acquired Amanda Mason’s debut novel, The Wayward Girls.
Sophie Orme, Editorial Director, Bonnier Zaffre, acquired world rights – including audio, film and TV – from Julia Silk at MBA.
Described as a “vivid coming of age tale with a ghostly twist,” Mason’s novel in set in the summer of 1976 and explores the life of Loo and her sister Bee who live in a run-down cottage in the middle of nowhere with their artistic parents and their wild siblings. The plot follows what happens when strange, unexplained occurrences in the house begin to disturb their every waking moment and the family gains even more notoriety.
