Edwards to leave Templar

Lisa Edwards, Executive Publisher for Templar Publishing, is to leave her role after three years.

Lisa Edwards, Executive Publisher – Templar Publishing, is to leave her role at Bonnier Books UK after three years.

Edwards joined Templar in November 2015 with responsibility for publishing children’s non-fiction (including the Ologies and Welcome to the Museum series), picture books, pre-school and baby titles and novelty publishing.

Last year, Templar celebrated its 40thanniversary, unveiling a new brand identity and website. The imprint also announced a highly successful new prize for aspiring illustrators, as well as publishing a series of books that celebrated the heroes of Templar’s past, while showcasing the stars of its future.

“I’ve had a wonderful time at Templar Publishing and am very proud of the fantastic books I’ve commissioned over the last three years.”

Lisa Edwards said: “I’ve had a wonderful time at Templar Publishing and am very proud of the fantastic books I’ve commissioned over the last three years. I’ve also had the privilege to manage an incredibly talented team, and together we built a strong programme of publishing for Templar’s 40th anniversary year and beyond. In the last few months, however, I’ve realised that I’ve achieved everything I set out to do and so am excited to explore new opportunities and to leave Templar under the excellent direction of Jane Harris, whom I’ve loved working with for the past six months.”

“Lisa has done a fantastic job over the last three years, steering the development of the critically-acclaimed Templar and Big Picture Press lists with great expertise and flair.”
