Delivered by Huq, acclaimed children’s author and former Blue Peter presenter, the 60-minute lessons will take place at 11am and 2pm and will feature activities based on her STEM and eco-inspired Cookie series, featuring an introduction to the Cookie characters, live drawing, a science quiz, save the planet tips, decoding and competitions.
The lessons will be streamed on Zoom and are free and open to all schools, libraries and home-schooled children.
Additionally, Piccadilly Press have partnered with Maryland Cookies and Bird and Blend Tea to give the first 1,000 teachers who register, a bundle of freebies including tea, biscuits and special Cookie-themed classroom decorations. There will be lesson plans and resources linked to the Cookie books available for everyone. Bookselling for the events will be done by Rocketship Bookshop in Salisbury, and teachers registered for the event will have exclusive access to discounted signed copies of the Cookie series.
