Bonnier Books UK appoints Manning to strengthen children’s sales

Bonnier Books UK has appointed Kate Manning to the newly created role of Group Director of Sales, Marketing and Publicity of Children’s Trade.

In the role, Manning will oversee sales, marketing and publicity for the company’s six children’s trade imprints – Templar, Big Picture Press, Hot Key Books, Piccadilly Press and Studio Press – reporting into James Horobin, Group Sales, Marketing and Publicity Director of Trade.

The appointment marks a return to the company for Manning, who was Sales and Marketing Director for YA imprint Hot Key Books and Piccadilly Press from 2012-2015. Manning has also occupied senior children’s sales roles at Harper Collins, Simon & Schuster and more recently, The Phoenix Comic.

Manning said: “I’m very excited to be returning to the company at such an important time and it’s wonderful to be able to work across such a broad list and with such talented people.”

Horobin commented: “We have an exceptionally strong portfolio of children’s imprints at Bonnier Books UK and, with her experience and strong reputation within the children’s trade, Kate is ideally placed to help us drive sales and recognition of these lists. Manning will join the company on 4th February.
