Igloo Books is partnering with the RSPCA to publish a series of children’s books, illustrated by Sebastien Braun, with an important message about animal cruelty. Braun’s illustrations have featured in books by Julia Donadlson and Allan Ahlberg.
The series will publish under the Autumn imprint and will be based on the RSPCA’s sub-brand ‘Buttercup Farm Friends’ which aims to teach children the importance of ending cruelty and suffering to animals, through funny and entertaining stories based on eight farm animals.
From Rufus the Puppy to Harry the Hedgehog, each animal has its own quirky personality.
The range will consist of novelty board books, sticker and activity books, and gift books. Braun, whose latest book Raj and the Best Day Ever (Templar Publishing) published earlier this year, is best known for his picture book I Love My Daddy (Boxer Books).
Mike Heron, Head of Licensed Publishing, Igloo Books said: “The Buttercup Farm Friends brand is a beautifully illustrated collection and we’re very excited to be working with the RSPCA and the illustrator, Sebastien Braun, to create a wonderful range of books. Through our partnership with them, we hope that we can use the Buttercup Farm Friends brand to educate children in a fun, engaging way whilst also delivering a powerful message.”
The range is set to publish May 2019.
