Carballo has more than 16 years’ experience in digital marketing and SEO and has held senior roles agency side at Altair Media and Publitek and most recently led the digital marketing strategy for designer shoe brand, Kat Maconie.
In parallel, a change in reporting lines will see the marketing and publicity teams also report into Marneur. The teams previously reported into Elise Burns, Group Sales Director, who will now take on responsibility for the organisation’s rights department.
Carballo said: “I’m really excited to become part of the team at Bonnier Books UK as audience development lead, working alongside Emilie. I’m truly looking forward to the challenge and to supporting the team in developing new methods to both attract and engage audiences across all of our imprints.”
Marneur added: “I’m thrilled that Blanche has agreed to join us at Bonnier Books UK as our first audience development lead. She brings years of experience in all areas of digital and performance marketing, website management and SEM. She will be working closely with our marketing teams to continue to develop how we reach and connect with readers and enhance our customers’ experiences.”

Carballo joins the company this week (w/c 26th April 2021), reporting into Marneur.
