Bonnier Books UK to publish second title from Elle Wright

A Bump in the Road is the second title from Elle Wright, the Sunday Times bestselling author of Ask Me His Name, charting her fertility journey following the death of her son Teddy in 2016. It will be publishing on 29th April by the Bonnier Books UK imprint Lagom. World English Language were acquired by Beth Eynon, Senior Editor at Bonnier Books UK from Lauren Gardner at Bell Lomax Moreton.

Honest but hopeful, in A Bump in the Road Elle shares her experiences of secondary infertility, three rounds of IVF, and losing two further pregnancies, yet throughout she maintains the unfailing belief that one day, becoming pregnant again would happen for her. Her journey reflects the reality of what becoming a parent entails for a huge number of the population. Elle is determined to help others by sharing her story.

The publication for A Bump in the Road will be backed by a major marketing and publicity campaign, and has already had an influx of early supporters.

Elle said: ‘Writing A Bump In The Road has been a hugely healing and cathartic process for me. It’s been an opportunity to write down and reflect upon all of the trials and tribulations of our fertility journey since losing our son in 2016. Working with Beth and the team at Bonnier again has been a huge privilege and I am so happy that we have been able to create another title that will raise much-needed funds for Tommy’s, a charity extremely close to my heart. I hope it speaks to those who find themselves on a tough journey.’

Elle Wright will donate 1% of all author royalties from the sale of every book to Tommy’s, the baby charity. Bonnier Books UK will also donate 1% of the published price royalty from the sale of each book to Tommy’s. Tommy’s is a registered charity in England and Wales (1060508) and Scotland (SC039280).

A Bump in the Road by Elle Wright publishes on the 29th April 2021, in hardback, ebook and audio digital download, narrated by Elle, from Lagom.
