Echo Publishing strengthens team with two new appointments and a promotion

Bonnier Books UK’s Sydney-based publisher Echo Publishing has appointed publicist Emily Banyard and publishing assistant Rosie Outred.

The appointments come as Echo looks to develop its their list further under the direction of Tegan Morrison who has been promoted to publisher.

Outred replaces James Elms on 18th January, who leaves the imprint after securing a place at the Conservatorium of Music in Sydney. Outred’s previous position was with Groundwood Books in Canada and before that Mac Keith Press in the UK.

Banyard’s previous role was as marketing and communications manager at the Australian Society of Authors. She also has extensive experience in the industry with roles at Simon & Schuster UK, Random House UK, Michael O’Mara Books and literary PR agency FMcM in London.

Benny Agius, General Manager at Echo Publishing, said, ‘I am so delighted with the appointment of both Emily and Rosie and I can only see great things for Echo in 2021. Also many congratulations to Tegan Morrison on her much deserved promotion.’

Banyard and Outred will be based at Echo’s office in Chatswood, Sydney and this role begins with immediate effect..
