Embla Books scoops two-book deal with Baggot

Embla Books, the digital-first imprint of Bonnier Books UK, has scooped two new romantic comedies from bestselling author, Mandy Baggot. Hannah Smith, Editorial Director, Embla Books, acquired World English Language rights from Tanera Simons at Darley Anderson.

A Taste of Greek Summer, the first book under contract, is a described as a “fun-in-the-sun romantic comedy”. Set on the island of Corfu it follows Lydia Broom, a thirty-year-old food critic who meets the dashing Thanos Nicolaidis, and sparks soon begin to fly.

Baggot is the author of over 20 titles, and was most recently published by Aria, Head of Zeus.

Smith said, “Working with Mandy has been an incredible journey over the past few years. I am utterly thrilled to be continuing with her here at Embla Books where we’ve got exciting plans to build Mandy’s brand and reach new readers across the world. 2022 is going to be a brilliant new chapter in Mandy’s career and the start of a wonderful new partnership.”

A Taste of Greek Summer will be published in eBook and audio in April 2022 with a paperback to follow.

The second book under contract, Only This Christmas, will publish in October 2022.
