Sustainability
Thinking in generations, not quarters

As part of our long-term sustainability goals, we aim to achieve the following by 2027:
Towards these targets, we accept a combination of on-site renewable electricity production, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs), in line with recognised standards such as RE100.
A PPA is a long-term contract to buy renewable electricity directly from a producer, such as a wind or solar farm.
EACs are certificates that confirm that a specific amount of renewable electricity has been generated and added to the grid.
RE100 is a global initiative in which companies commit to using 100% renewable electricity and follow technical guidance on how this can be measured and reported.
We or our suppliers may purchase these certificates to match the amount of electricity used, in line with recognised standards such as RE100. This helps support demand for renewable electricity.
Because electricity from different sources is mixed together in the grid, EACs do not mean that all the electricity we use is physically renewable at every moment. Instead, they are a recognised way of supporting renewable electricity generation and accounting for its use.
