Arzu Tahsin is joining Bonnier Books UK as editor at large for Manilla Press, where she will acquire and commission titles across the literary imprint’s award-winning list.

Tahsin was previously publishing director at Weidenfeld & Nicolson and has over thirty years of experience in the industry, having also worked at Bloomsbury, Vintage, Penguin Random House, and Virago. Arzu is also Development Editor at The Good Literary Agency.

She has published many bestselling writers including Khaled Hosseini, Malala Yousafzai, Tea Obreht, Maria Semple, Nathan Englander, Catriona Ward, and Harriet Lane.

Arzu Tahsin said: ‘I am hugely excited about my new role as editor at large at Bonnier Books UK, working with Margaret Stead. What appeals to me about Bonnier is its fantastic and long-established literary history; it’s also a company with a dynamic contemporary vision and a nimble enough team to move fast when good books come calling.’

Margaret Stead, publisher, added: ‘I’ve been trying to convince Arzu for a long time to come and work with the team at Manilla Press, and we’re just delighted that she has finally said yes. She is a brilliant reader, editor and publisher, and we are very lucky to have her.’

Tahsin will join the company at the beginning of October, reporting into Stead.
