Bonnier Books UK has appointed Blanche Carballo to the newly-created position of audience development lead.
Reporting into Emilie Marneur, Digital and Business Development Director, Carballo will own the company’s website development, aswell as leading its overarching digital communications and audience development strategy. Working cross-functionally and across the trade business, Carballo will help strengthen Bonnier Books UK’s audience building and engagement activities, optimising its digital communications channels.
Carballo has more than 16 years’ experience in digital marketing and SEO and has held senior roles agency side at Altair Media and Publitek and most recently led the digital marketing strategy for designer shoe brand, Kat Maconie.
In parallel, a change in reporting lines will see the marketing and publicity teams also report into Marneur. The teams previously reported into Elise Burns, Group Sales Director, who will now take on responsibility for the organisation’s rights department.

She brings years of experience in all areas of digital and performance marketing, website management and SEM. She will be working closely with our marketing teams to continue to develop how we reach and connect with readers and enhance our customers’ experiences.”

Carballo joins the company this week (w/c 26th April 2021), reporting into Marneur.
