Elle Brenton-Rounding, senior sales and business development manager at Bonnier Books UK, has been named a LBF Trailblazer for 2022.
The hotly-contested Trailblazer Awards, in association with SYP, PA and BookBrunch, celebrate book industry professionals aged 30 or under who demonstrate innovation, creativity, and passion in the publishing industry.

Announcing Brenton-Rounding’s place in this year’s cohort of five, the judges said:

“With an enviable track record of success already under her belt, Elle has made persistent advances and speedy progress in her career across rights and foreign sales to now head a high achieving department and taking on new responsibilities”

Brenton-Rounding added: “Given the phenomenal people shortlisted for this year’s Trailblazer Awards, I am thrilled to be included in the first place, but winning is such an honour. I am utterly surprised, but over the moon, to have been chosen as a winner by the judges – I love what I do and it’s great to be able showcase how amazing working in rights is! I couldn’t do it without a wonderful team around me though, so want to say thanks to Helen and our children’s rights team for all their support.”

Helen Wicks, managing director of children’s trade, commented: “We are absolutely delighted that Elle’s entrepreneurial spirit, business acumen and sheer hard work have now been recognised by The Trailblazer Awards. Her thirst for connections and market information coupled with a creative approach to selling clearly mark her out as an innovator in the field.”

Brenton-Rounding is joined on the winners list by Srishti Kudu, Taliha Quadri, Hayley Steed and Marianne Tatepo. She will be participating on two panels over the course of London Book Fair, demystifying the rights and permissions landscape and discussing her Trailblazer win.
