Embla Books saddles up to publish Roxanne Tully’s irresistible cowboy romance series

Embla Books, the digital-first imprint of Bonnier Books UK, has signed a nine-book deal with previously self-published author Roxanne Tully.

Senior Commissioning Editor Bea Grabowska acquired World English rights for Tully’s upcoming cowboy romance series alongside rights in two of Tully’s backlist series – small town romance series, Hideaway Springs, and hockey romance series, Blades of Heart – from Sarah Hornsley at PFD.

Wild Rose, the first in the new Blue River Springs series, will publish in July 2025 and follows Rose Evans as she flies in from the East Coast to work at the Blue River Ranch for the summer. For Rose, it’s a chance to escape the big city – and the past that still haunts her – and breathe in some fresh air. Not that she would admit that to her big brother or his best friend, the grumpy and enigmatic cowboy she can’t stop running into…

Roxanne Tully said: ‘I am beyond thrilled to be working with Bea and the rest of the team at Embla. Their deep industry insight combined with their enthusiasm for the series give me the utmost confidence that my stories are in the best hands. A special thanks to Sarah Hornsley at Peters Fraser + Dunlop for her unwavering support and guidance throughout the process and the connection with Bonnier Books UK.’

Bea Grabowska said: ‘Wild Rose lassoed my heart on the very first page and had me falling head over boots for Rose, Wilder and Roxanne’s whole cast of strong yet vulnerable characters, who love wildly and protect fiercely. Roxanne is a huge talent, bringing equal measures of warmth and depth, swoon and spice to everything she does. I can’t wait for readers to meet the Thorne brothers and discover their next cowboy romance obsession!’

Sarah Hornsley said: ‘Roxanne Tully is such a talent. Her stories are full of warmth, wit and romance and I am excited for new readers to discover her writing.’

Roxanne Tully grew up in New York City, where she studied theatre and screenwriting. Her passion for storytelling started very young – even if it never made it on paper. Now, she writes contemporary small-town romances with strong, realistic heroines, steam, banter and a healthy dose of angst. When Roxanne isn’t writing, she enjoys baking, jogging with her golden-doodle, and practicing flirty banter with her real-life male hero.

Wild Rose will publish in eBook, audiobook and paperback original on 23rd July 2025.
