LEAP, the new imprint of Bonnier Books UK focusing on inspiring positive personal and collective change, has acquired two new titles from bestselling author, Joe Wicks.
Carole Tonkinson, Publisher, acquired World English language rights from Niki Wicks, CEO of The Body Coach, with the publication of the first book planned for late 2025.
Joe Wicks said: ‘I’m so excited about these next two books. They bring together the latest research on nutrition with absolutely banging, tasty and easy recipes. It feels like a real homecoming to be working with Carole again and continuing on my mission to show people that living healthier and happier lives doesn’t have to feel like a chore.’
Carole Tonkinson said: ‘I absolutely love Joe and it’s a joy to be reunited again after all our success on Lean in 15 and beyond. Joe’s authenticity is second to none and it comes across clearly in everything he does, including his most recent appearance on Dragon’s Den. We can’t wait to work with Joe on two brand new ideas for books people want and need. It’s no joke to say that my LEAP colleagues and all of us at Bonnier Books UK are jumping with joy at this opportunity.’
Joe Wicks is on a mission to make the world fitter, healthier, and happier. Best known as The Body Coach, he has transformed the way millions approach fitness and nutrition through his online HIIT workouts, bestselling books, and hugely popular fitness app. Joe shot to fame with his Lean in 15 recipe book series and became known as the nation’s P.E. teacher during the COVID-19 pandemic, leading daily livestreamed workouts for families around the world. His efforts not only kept people moving during lockdown but also raised over £650,000 for charity, earning him an MBE from Queen Elizabeth II for services to fitness and charity.
Since then, Joe has published 15 books, selling over four million copies worldwide. His Body Coach brand has expanded to include a hugely popular fitness app, which quickly topped the Apple charts, offering personalised workouts and meal plans to users worldwide. Joe further holds two Guinness World Records, including the record for the world’s largest-ever HIIT workout, which he achieved at London’s Hyde Park in 2017. He has most recently had appearances on Dragon’s Den as a guest Dragon, lending his expertise on how to make fitness simple, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone.
