Leap to publish The Chaotic Cook from Pinch of Nom co-founder Kay Allinson

Leap, the imprint of Bonnier Books UK focusing on inspiring and informing positive change, is set to publish The Chaotic Cook by Kay Allinson, co-founder of Pinch of Nom.

Publisher Carole Tonkinson pre-empted World All Language rights from Clare Hulton of Clare Hulton Agency with publication set for January 2027.

The Chaotic Cook is described as a ‘groundbreaking’ cookbook for those with ADHD or scattered focus. Designed to help make home cooking simpler, it features ingredients lists that don’t last forever, methods that keep you on track and swaps and tips if you ever happen to have forgotten something along the way.   

Kay Allinson said: “I’m really excited to release The Chaotic Cook, to help people like me to find new ways of cooking that work for them. It’s brilliant to be working with Carole again on a project I’m so passionate about.”

Kay Allinson is a British food writer, entrepreneur, and co-founder of the hugely successful healthy eating platform Pinch of Nom where recipes combine culinary expertise with a passion for creating accessible, calorie-conscious recipes that help people enjoy food while making sustainable lifestyle changes. What began as a small online community grew into the UK’s most popular food website and a bestselling cookbook series, with over five million copies sold.

Kay’s approach is grounded in practicality, inclusivity, and a clear understanding of how people cook and eat in everyday life. Her fervent hope is that Chaotic Cook will help people with ADHD and scattered focus who find the kitchen overwhelming create delicious and easy meals. 

The Chaotic Cook will be published in hardback and ebook in January 2027 by Leap.
