Manilla Press reveals new Stacey Halls cover and title
Set in West Yorkshire in 1904, the novel follows newly graduated nurse Ruby May, who realises there is something not quite right about the family she is working for. Mrs England is ‘a portrait of an Edwardian marriage, weaving an enthralling story of men and women, power and control, courage, truth and the very darkest deception’.
Halls grew up in Rossendale, Lancashire, and studied journalism at the University of Central Lancashire before writing for publications including the Guardian, Stylist, the Independent and the Sun. She now lives in Oxfordshire. Her novels The Familiars and The Foundling were both Sunday Times bestsellers and Waterstones paperbacks of the year, and have sold nearly half a million copies in less than two years.
Bestselling historical novelist’s next book, Mrs England, will be out in June
