Bonnier Books UK is moving from the publisher’s current home in Victoria House, Bloomsbury, to HYLO, a Grade A office building in the Old Street area of London EC1.

The office move, taking place in January 2025, reflects the company’s continued growth and evolution, supporting its ambitions as a modern and sustainable publishing business for the future.

HYLO is a multi award-winning development, recognised for its innovative design, sustainable approach, and cutting-edge Smart technology. It is located near Farringdon, one of the largest commuter hubs in the UK.

Jonathan Perdoni, CFO and COO of Bonnier Books UK, said: “We are hugely excited about the possibilities our new office will create. Crucially, we will be able to enjoy a significantly larger space to support the needs of the business and new ways of working that we have adopted over recent years. Our time in Victoria House was always intended as a stepping stone to a longer-term London base as we continue to grow the business.

“We will have more desks and meeting rooms, as well as more events space. It’s in a fantastic location and will be bright, airy and modern whilst providing outstanding facilities to our staff. Moving to HYLO will further strengthen company culture, encouraging greater collaboration, creativity and learning in a way that will support our next phase of growth.”

Mass-market business Igloo Books will continue to be based at its office in Sywell, Northampton. Bonnier Books UK’s other offices in Edinburgh and Chichester will also be unaffected by the move.

HYLO (105 Bunhill Row, EC1Y 8LZ), is a 260,000 sq ft Grade A office building with staff wellness and sustainability at its heart, developed by CIT.

Toby Croft, Partner at CIT, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Bonnier Books to HYLO, where they join an impressive and diverse occupier group. The high-quality amenity offering and facilities at HYLO have proven immensely valuable to modern occupiers, as they redefine what the office means to them.

“This latest transaction is the result of collaboration from the very start of the process. This has enabled CIT to deliver Bonnier Books a workplace they can be proud of for many years to come.”

CIT was advised by Cushman & Wakefield, Compton and BNP Paribas Real Estate.
