Zaffre, the flagship commercial fiction imprint of Bonnier Books UK, has acquired two debut fantasy titles to add to its growing SFF list: Map of Fate by E. C. Owen and Heir to the Killers Kingdom by Anna St Germain.
Kelly Smith, publishing director at Zaffre, has acquired World All Language rights from Harry Illingworth at DHH Literary Agency for both titles.
Map of Fate is described as a debut fantasy adventure combining the wonder and fun of One Piece with the found family dynamic of Our Flag Means Death and the escapades of The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi, where students compete to graduate from the Arcane Academy of Piratical Arts.
Heir to the Killers Kingdom is The Raven Scholar meets Five Broken Blades by way of The Traitors in this debut epic political fantasy where lies, secrets and betrayal surround the mystery of the true heir to the kingdom of assassins on the brink of war.
