Bonnier Books UK launches twelve point for podcasts and audio exclusives

Bonnier Books UK is launching twelve point, a new audio originals and podcast imprint focussing on producing innovative audio and podcast originals.

Led by Audio Director, Jon Watt, twelve point audio will expand Bonnier Books UK’s audio output with a curated list of originated content, brand partnerships and backlist acquisitions in key genres.

Watt said: “We are hugely excited to be launching this new imprint for stories that demand to be listened to. The growth of audio continues to be significant for Bonnier Books UK and our authors, and through twelve point audio we look forward to further accelerating Bonnier’s audio catalogue in genres which we know perform strongly in this format. We will focus on producing innovative, compelling originals in audio and podcast formats; developing new partnerships and exploring fresh creative approaches.”

The new imprint has collaborated with producer, Crowd Network, to launch the bestselling podcast The Secret History of Flight 149 – a ground-breaking 13-part series presented by investigative journalist Stephen Davis. Designed to complement his recent book, Operation Trojan Horse, which was published last year in hardback by John Blake Books, the podcast series focusses on the on-going revelations about British Airways Flight 149 and the ‘deniable’ intelligence operation that led to nearly 400 passengers being taken hostage in Kuwait.

twelve point audio has also bought the UK and Commonwealth rights to New York Times bestselling author Kendare Blake’s epic fantasy series The Three Dark Crowns from Wolf Literary Services.

twelve point audio will produce 8-10 projects a year and will be accepting submissions from agents for audio-only projects and rights, as well as developing audio partnerships with brands.
