Blink Publishing, the flagship commercial non-fiction imprint of Bonnier Books UK, has acquired the new book from award-winning comedian Katherine Ryan in a six-figure deal.
Ciara Lloyd, publishing director, acquired UK & Commonwealth (including Canada) rights for First Born Daughter from Flo Howard at Off The Kerb. The author’s last book with Blink, The Audacity, was a Sunday Times bestseller in 2021.
First Born Daughter explores the psychology and reality of what it means to be a woman, a wife and a daughter today. Filled with Katherine’s outspoken humour and wit, expect home truths, real talk and Katherine’s inimitable honest opinions. The book will delve into family dynamics, women’s rights, parenting, health, ageing and so much more, as Katherine navigates the world we live in today.
