Bonnier Books UK has today announced several senior promotions across its adult publishing division.
Matt Phillips, previously associate publisher, has been promoted to the role of deputy MD. As associate publisher of Bonnier Books UK’s adult division, and working alongside co-CEO Sarah Benton, Matt has been instrumental in the realignment of the adult division following last year’s merger of the Zaffre and Black and White divisions, creating a new hub structure to support the company’s ambitious growth plans. Prior to that, Matt led the non-fiction editorial team, overseeing the rise of Blink as a commercial powerhouse imprint with consistent bestseller success, as well as publishing Sunday Times bestselling books from Jimmy Anderson, Freddie Flintoff, Josh Widdicombe and Rob Beckett among many others himself.

In the adult marketing team, Natalia Cacciatore has been promoted to marketing director from deputy marketing director. Over the past year, she has expanded her remit to cover all genres of publishing, as well as leading and re-organising the marketing team to reflect the new adult division hub structure. She has delivered bestselling campaigns for some of the company’s biggest brands and authors including Jimmy Anderson, Boy George, Katie Price and brand authors including T.M. Logan and Rosie Goodwin. Natalia’s new role will see her become an even more senior voice in the division.
Flora Willis is promoted to deputy marketing director. Flora has driven the marketing campaign strategy for the UK’s no.1 bestselling poet, Donna Ashworth, and has delivered creative and stand-out campaigns for literary hits including Mongrel by Hanako Footman, The Household by Stacey Halls, and Kingmaker by Lord Graham Brady. As part of her new role, Flora will work alongside Natalia Cacciatore in supporting the marketing team and will take leadership over the marketing strategy for Bonnier Books UK’s Literary and Lifestyle hubs.
Vishani Perera is promoted to head of digital marketing, adult. Formerly working as senior digital marketing manager for Bonnier’s digital-first list, Embla, Vishani has been a vital part of the team driving the strategy and success of the British Book Award-shortlisted imprint over the past year, including the growth of digital bestseller Dandy Smith. Her new role will see her shape the digital marketing strategy across the wider adult publishing business.
And in the International Sales team, Kim Evans has been promoted to head of international sales. Kim oversaw a year of record-breaking growth into Europe in 2024 and is a member of the team that won Bonnier Books UK’s first Nibbie for Export Team of the Year. Stand out success came from capitalising on global adult fiction trends with Bonnier’s growing SFF and literary lists, including the romantasy debut Fear the Flames and cosy Japanese series Days at the Morisaki Bookshop. Her new role will involve overseeing the open markets and distribution into North America.
Sarah Benton, co-CEO, said: ‘I am so delighted to be able to reward the immense senior talent that we have within the adult division of Bonnier Books UK with these key promotions. Matt has been integral to the journey that the adult team have been on over the last few years. He is a much-loved and trusted member of staff, along with being an outstanding publisher. Natalia, Flora and Vishani have all helped shape our laser- focussed approach to audience-driven marketing and Kim has helped take that message out across the world. I feel grateful to be surrounded by such passionate individuals who are driving our business forward every day.’
