Empathy Day, run by Empathy Lab, is an annual celebration of the importance of empathy, and the books that inspire young readers to develop this most vital of skills.
Research shows that empathy can be learned, and that literature can play a hugely important role in helping foster the attribute – encouraging readers to think of others, step into a stranger’s shoes, and forge connections.
