Black & White Publishing, an imprint of Bonnier Books UK, is releasing a second book from Coinneach MacLeod, The Hebridean Baker.

After becoming Scotland’s best-selling cookbook author of 2021 with his debut, MacLeod’s second book will be My Scottish Island Kitchen, a fresh selection of rustic recipes, charming stories and breath-taking photography from the Outer Hebrides.

Inspired by family recipes, traditional bakes and Scottish flavours, MacLeod uses local produce to showcase Scotland’s extensive larder and bring us wholesome and flavourful dishes with a story to tell. Including some special guest appearances, there is something for everyone in this lovingly crafted collection of homemade delights.

BBC Travel Show said Coinneach was ‘serving his sumptuous food with a side of Hebridean folklore, Scottish Gaelic and traditional music’. This Morning‘s Phillip Schofield said he had ‘beautiful recipes and what looks like a perfect life’.

The Hebridean Baker’s new book will share all this, bringing a breath of fresh Scottish island air to your kitchen and the Hebridean Hygge lifestyle to your home.

Coinneach MacLeod was born and raised on the Isle of Lewis, the most northerly of the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Inspired by traditional family recipes and homegrown produce, Coinneach rose to fame as the Hebridean Baker on TikTok in 2020. With over 20 million video views, he has inspired millions around the world to bake, forage, learn Gaelic, enjoy a dram or two of whisky and to seek a more wholesome, simple life. Along with his partner Peter and their Westie pup Seòras, Coinneach’s aim is to bring the best of the Scottish islands to a worldwide audience.

My Scottish Kitchen Island will be published in September 2022.
