Zaffre, the flagship adult fiction imprint of Bonnier Books UK, has announced The Mother, the new book from the master of the up-all-night thriller, T.M. Logan.

Sophie Orme, publishing director for Zaffre, acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Camilla Bolton at Darley Anderson.

The news of Logan’s upcoming title was announced during a midnight livestream from the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival in Harrogate on Saturday 23rd July 2022, followed by an up-all-night celebration.

After being accused of her husband’s murder, a woman will go to extraordinary lengths to clear her name and get her children back… The Mother will be published in time for Mother’s Day 2023.

T.M. Logan is a Sunday Times bestseller whose thrillers have sold more than 1.5 million copies in the UK alone, and are published in 18 countries around the world. He is the author of breakout success, Richard & Judy pick The Holiday, which was adapted for TV and hit number 3 in the UK charts on Netflix earlier this month, and has an adaptation of The Catch currently being filmed.

T.M Logan said: ‘I can’t wait for The Mother to be out there in readers’ hands. I really think it’s my best book yet. It was so exciting to announce it in Harrogate at the weekend!’

Sophie Orme added: ‘The extraordinary rise of T.M. Logan, who has become one of the biggest and most well-respected thriller authors in the market, has been one of the highlights of my career so far. As T.M.’s readers will attest, his books just get better and better and I cannot wait for them to pick up The Mother in March 2023, an unmissable thriller about the extraordinary lengths a mother will go to for her children’.

Camilla Bolton said: ‘T. M. Logan has done it again. The Mother is an incredible high-octane thriller with a huge emotional punch that will keep you up all night. He is at the forefront of contemporary commercial standalone thrillers and pushes the genre each novel. The Holiday was at the head of this current escapism crime thriller trend, and The Mother takes the everyday role of parenthood and pushes it out of a suspense arena and straight into the big thriller world.’

The Mother will be published in the UK and Ireland on 2nd March 2023 in hardback, audio and eBook.
