Siobhan Murphy is a West Yorkshire based interior designer, stylist, and writer: a self-confessed maximalist. She rose to stardom after appearing as a flamboyant finalist on BBC and Netflix Interior Design Masters season two. Murphy has worked in collaboration with many well-known brands and designs for both residential and commercial clients. She also writes a regular interiors column for OK! Magazine and is a regular contributor on Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch, presenting a segment entitled ‘Pimped-up Properties’.
Commenting on the acquisition, author Siobhan Murphy said: ‘My aim is to inspire the reader to be brave and throw the interiors rule book out of the window as they revamp their interiors – and maybe even their entire lifestyle. Readers will be encouraged to explore their wardrobe, to discover the colours, textures, patterns and prints that bring happiness into their life, and then transfer these elements into their home décor – something I did a few years ago and I have never been more confident, happy and free.’
Stephanie Milton, Head of Studio Press, added: ‘Siobhan’s journey from NHS comms boss to BBC Interior Design Masters finalist and Instagram star has been incredible to watch, and I couldn’t be more excited to have More Is More Décor on the Studio list. Siobhan is the ultimate maximalist icon and a brilliant example of how being confident with fashion and interiors can transform your life. Dressing like your home is such a fun and enticing concept, and one that can bring so much joy. More Is More Décor is a celebration of everything Siobhan stands for – bold fashion and colourful, maximalist interiors – and I have no doubt it will be a huge success.’
