Joe Hallsworth has joined Bonnier Books UK as senior editor at Blink Publishing, where he will commission titles for the imprint’s list across commercial non-fiction, including sport, entertainment, popular history, comedy, trend and gift.
Hallsworth joins from Quarto, where he worked as an editor across the company’s varied non-fiction imprints. He brings a wealth of editorial experience, and has recently worked as a part of the commissioning team for the popular, 100k+ selling Wordle Challenge. His other commissions include a forthcoming Formula 1 title centred on the rivalries throughout the sport’s history, inspired by last year’s dramatic contest between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.
Joe Hallsworth said: “After almost eight years working with my brilliant colleagues at Quarto, developing from intern to editor and working across a wide range of subjects, I am delighted to be joining Blink’s impressively talented and creative team. The quality and variety of Blink’s commercial non-fiction continues to stand out from the crowd, and I can’t wait to bring my editorial experience and ideas to help commission some exciting new books.”
Susannah Otter, publishing director for Blink, added: “We are thrilled to be welcoming Joe to the Blink team as we grow our list and build on this year’s successes. His creativity, keen eye for a commercial project, and calm enthusiasm make him the perfect fit for Blink as we continue our commitment to being the top destination for commercial non-fiction.”
Hallsworth will report into Otter.
